Calypso Cruise
The Calypso Cruises, a steel boat with sturdy double bottoms, wears a white gown as the beauty of a goddess in her twenties, full of life energy. Each cruise consists of 20 luxury cabins, designed in classic Indochina style. All furniture is made from high-grade wood with deep brown color creating a warm, close to nature atmosphere. Rooms are well-equipped with modern amenities and large windows with beautiful views of the bay. With a capacity of 50 guests, the Calypso Cruises create a cozy and fun space. The highlight of the cruise is three white masts. Looking from a far distance, three masts stand out to the sea to take the ship glide on the green channel, make the guests feel secure and fully enjoy exciting visit of Lan Ha.
Discover the mysterious Lan Ha Bay by Calypso Cruises class, visitors will be able to kayak themselves around the Van Boi area or immersed in the blue water of Ba Trai Dao beach. On this journey, visitors also visit Sang – Toi cave in the area adjacent with Lan Ha bay, Ha Long bay; discover Quan Y caves – a landmark of heroic history; or visit Viet Hai – an isolated village located entirely in the middle of the sea, covered by high mountains and jungle of Cat Ba National Park.
In the morning, when the sun starts to flow through the glass door, the sound of the waves will wake visitors up to welcome a new day. Visitors can go to top floor to practice Tai Chi, play golf, or simply lie on the sun loungers in the nature with a cocktail and enjoy panoramic views of Lan Ha Bay while the cruise gently sail across the water.

DAY 1: HANOI – HAI PHONG - HALONG BAY - LAN HA BAY (L, D)
9:00 - 9:30: You are picked up from your hotels in Hanoi for 2.5 hour driving on 5B highway to the Got Harbor in Hai Phong Province for the cruise.
12:00 - 12:30: Tender will transfer you to embark Calypso Cruises. You will be served with a welcome drink and a towel. Followed by our cruise briefing where you will also be given safety instructions before checking into your cabins. While the cruise sailing, you enjoy a bon-appetite lunch and being impressed by the beauty of hundreds of karst islands on your way passing Halong Bay to Lan Ha Bay.
15:00: Visit Light and Dark Water Cave, where you can do kayaking or bamboo boat rowed by local people.
17:30: Return to Calypso Cruise. It’s time to admire the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin and enjoy happy hour (buy 2, get 1 more free). You take part in cooking demonstration to learn our Vietnamese cuisine.
19:00: A great dinner awaits you.
20:30 – 22:00 Your free time to enjoy the landscapes of the Bay on the top deck, sing karaoke, enjoy ordered drinks from the bar, try your luck at squid fishing or just relax in your cabins, etc. Overnight on board.

DAY 2: LAN HA BAY - CAT BA ISLAND (B, L, D)
Today we shall have a deeper exploration of Lan Ha Bay using our small day-boat cruising through the multiple islands & islets, hidden beaches… also a short visit on bicycles to Viet Hai village, an isolated village in the very heart of Cat Ba National Park.
06:30: Wake up early to enjoy the dawn and start a perfect new day with Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck.
7:00 – 8:00: Have a light breakfast in the restaurant.
8:30: You get picked up by a small day boat and cruise through Lan Ha Bay before disembarking at Viet Hai dock. 9:30: Go cycling a short trip of 5km to Viet Hai – a small village in the midst of the jungle, surrounded by the high mountain range of Cat Ba National Park. The area has become popular with foreign tourists, without attracting the mass tourism. 11:00: Return by bicycle to the dock and board our dayboat again to sail further to the other side of Lan Ha Bay.
12:00: Arrival at Van Boi area. The day boat anchors for a peaceful lunch.
13:00-15:40: Kayaking around Van Boi area. Then we move on to Ba Trai Dao (Three Peaches) Beach. You are free to swim in this beautiful & clean area.
16:00: Return to Calypso Cruise. Enjoy the happy hours on Sundeck or relaxing in your cabins.
19:00 Dinner in the Dining Hall and enjoy the activities on board. Overnight on board.

DAY 3: LAN HA BAY - CAT BA ISLAND – HANOI (B, L)
06:30: Wake up early to enjoy the dawn and start a perfect new day with Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck.
7:00 – 7:45: Have a light breakfast in the restaurant.
8:00: Then you take a bus route for about 20 minutes on Cat Ba Island from Gia Luan Pier to visit Army Hospital Cave, a special place to save the significant Vietnamese history during the resistance war. During the travel, you will be immersed in the wild fresh natural scenery of Cat Ba National Park.
10:00: Back to Calypso Cruise. Check out your cabin. You have lunch while the Calypso Cruise back to the harbor.
12:00: Disembark Calypso Cruise and return to Hanoi.
14:30 – 15:00: You arrive at Hanoi. End the trip. Special note: Cruise itineraries and schedules are subject to change without pre notice depending on the weather and operating conditions.

Policies
Deposit & Payment:
- A deposit of 30% of the tour price per person by credit card or bank transfer plus bank charges is required upon confirmation of your booking (if this amount is less than US$ 500, the full payment will be applied).
- The balance will be paid 15 days prior to the check in date, or you can pay us upon arrival in cash or credit card when we meet in Hanoi.
- Deposit or full payment could be settled via our secured online payment system (SSL).
Cancellation & Refund:
• Cancellation will be charged as follow:
- From 1-5 cabins:
+ More than 4 days prior to the arrival: No charge.
+ Less than 4 days prior to the arrival: 100% of the total rate charged.
- No-Show: Will be charged in full.
- From 6-10 cabins:
+ More than 10 days prior to the arrival: No charge.
+ From 10 to 4 days prior to the arrival: 25% of each cancelled cabins charged.
+ Less than 4 days prior to the arrival: 100% of the total rate charged.
- No-Show: Will be charged in full.
- From more than 10 cabins: Please check with our travel consultants for more information.
• Cancellation must be sent to and confirmed by Vietnam Travel's cruise specialist in writing (by email or fax).
Child Policy:
- Only one child under 6 years old stays free of charge when using existing bed with two adults.
- Child under 6 years old pays extra bed if request for separate menu (meals).
- Two children under 6 years old stay in the same cabin with their parents and (must) use an extra bed: US$ 90 for 2D1N or US$ 200 for 3D2N program.
- Child rate applies from 6-11 years old:
+ Maximum one child from 6 to 11 years old is allowed to share cabin with adults. Child pays US$ 90 for 2D1N or US$ 200 for 3D2N program.
+ Two children below 12 years old stay in a separate cabin, and pays 80% of a cabin (double occupancy sharing).
+ One child below 12 years old stays with an adult, 90% rate of double cabin will be applied.
Bad Weather Policy:
In the event the cruise is affected by bad weather, the cruise company reserves the right to cancel all or parts of their cruises services. Following charges may be applied:
- Cancellation before 11:00 o'clock at cruise date: Full refund for the cruise package but transportation will be charged (if any).
- Cruise is canceled and guests have meal (lunch) only (no cruise, no overnight, boat stays in the harbor): US$ 10 per person.
- Cruise is canceled and guests have meal (lunch) and round-trip transfer Hanoi - Halong only (no cruise, no overnight, boat stays in the harbor): US$ 10 per person + transportation.
- Day cruise (3-4 hours cruise, no overnight, lunch on boat): US$ 40 per person.
- Day cruise (3-4 hours cruise, no overnight, lunch on boat, round-trip transfer Hanoi - Halong Bay): US$ 40 per person + transportation.
- Only for 3 day/2night cruise program:
+ Complete 2 day/1 night cruise and back to shore before 10.00 A.M of day 2: the cruise rate of 2 day/ 1 night package is charged + transportation (if any).
+ Complete 2 day/ 1 night cruise and use the day boat and back to shore before 17.00 of day 2: 75% of the total price of 3 day/ 2 night cruise package is charged + transportation (if any).
Other Policies:
- Check-in time starts at 13:00 PM. Check-out by 10:00 AM.
- Charges for extra guests may apply and vary according to property policy.
- Advance registration is required with full name, date of birth, nationality, gender, passport number and visa expiry date for all passengers. A valid passport is required upon check-in. Otherwise, boarding may be denied by the port authority.
- A cash deposit, credit card or debit card for incidental charges and government-issued photo identification/ passport are required upon check-in.
- Special requests are subject to availability at the time of check-in. Special requests can't be guaranteed and may incur additional charges.
- Surcharge for New Year Eve (31 December): US$ 30 per adult and US$ 25 per child from 6-11 years old.
- Cruise itinerary is subject to change, with or without prior notice, depending upon tide and weather conditions.
- Promotion or Early Bird comes with tight booking conditions and they will be notified separately by Vietnam Travel.
