  1. Detailed Itinerary of Half Day Tour Bat Trang Ceramic Village

Start at 8:30 AM in the morning or 13:30 in the afternoon, Vietnam Travel's guide will pick you up in Hanoi's Old Quarter and transfer to the riverside Bat Trang village, where distinctive ceramics are made and used throughout the delta region for over 500 years. On arrival, you will be amazed by the view of all pottery and ceramic showrooms scattering all over the village. You firstly stop by Bat Trang communal house which was built under Le Du Tong King’s period (from 1719 to 1720) to admire the ancient architecture of rural villages in the Red River Delta.

After that, pay a visit to the ancient house and workshop of ceramic artist Tran Van Do who has a great contribution to promote ceramic products to be well recognized. Continue your tour to the ancient house of other talented ceramic artists to have a talk with them over a green tea about the history of the village and admire their exquisite handmade ceramic products. The French ancient house built in Bat Trang ceramic village in the 1920s should also not be missed in your tour. The building is highly favored by visitors due to its unique look among traditional houses of roofing tiles and the materials imported from France in the last century.

Take a stroll to watch artisans working with their skillful hands on the crafts as they form, paint and glaze their products, which are then baked for several days in huge kilns. After learning about the basic process of making a pottery product, you will be handed clay and tools to make for yourself one and take them home.
You are free for shopping before returning to the city center of Hanoi.

The trip ends after arrival in Hanoi around 12:30 PM or 05:30 PM.
