With this in mind, our three, newly-built wooden junks are designed in the time-honored traditional style, but with contemporary, deluxe cabins and facilities, including sea-view windows in each cabin, private, modern bathrooms, and a comfortable sun-deck bar. Our cooks will serve you the tastiest traditional Vietnamese foods, and our staff will help you learn about our current lives as well as our ancient history.

Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Lan Ha Bay – Dark & Bright Caves – Overnight Area (L/D)
09:00 – 09:30: Pick-up at your hotel near by the Old Quarter in Hanoi.
12:00 – 12:30: Embark the V’Spirit Premier Cruise at Cat Hai port. Savor a welcome drink and cruise briefing.
13:00 – 14:00: Sit down in the dining room for a delicious lunch and a scrolling view of the wonderfully unique limestone towers outside the windows.
15:15 – 17:15: On sampan boats, some residents of the bay will show us their home by taking us to the Dark & Bright caves, two gorgeous caverns with a vast and enclosed lake on the other side.. Swimming is also available here.
17:00 – 18:45: Return to the V’Spirit Premier Cruise to catch the daily spectacle of a gorgeous sunset, as well as happy hour at the bar.
19:00: Along with a fantastic dinner, we have a very special performance of traditional Vietnamese music in the dining room. Before you retire to your cabin, perhaps you would like to head to the bar, the spa or join the crew for some squid fishing.

Day 2: Lan Ha Bay – Viet Hai Village – Ba Ham Lake – Overnight Area (B/L/D)
06:30 – 07:00: For the early risers amongst our passengers, we will be holding a Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Join our onboard tai chi teacher as they take you through the basic steps.
07:15 – 08:30: An excellent breakfast served in the dining room will come before you board the day boat and head over to Cat Ba Island.
09:00 – 11:00: In the secluded eastern area of Cat Ba, we find the village of Viet Hai. We will take a walking tour around the gorgeous village and its attractively wild borders. After this, we take bicycles around the rainforest and rice fields of the local farmers.
12:00 – 13:30: Get back to the day boat, enjoy lunch while floating serenely on the water.
13:30 - 15:30: Next area is Ba Trai Dao area. Take advantage of the tranquility here to kayak and swim in the remarkable quietness.
16:00: After a relaxing time on the day boat, rejoin the V’Spirit Premier Cruise and head back to the enchanting overnight area while happy hour begins again.
19:00: Dinner will be yet another delicious offering from the chef. Take the evening as you like afterwards, perhaps this is by playing board games, opting for a massage treatment or simply relaxing back in the cabin.

Day 3: Lan Ha Bay – Tra Bau – Hanoi (B/L)
06:00 – 06:30: Begin your new day with the Tai Chi session on the top deck, run by our onboard Tai Chi teacher as the sunrise greets us from behind the mountains.
07:00 – 08:00: Enjoy breakfast in the fresh air and peaceful beauty of the Bay.
08:15 – 08:45: Visit Tra Bau area, where we can take our kayaks onto the water and enjoy a thoroughly peaceful experience. Visit a fishing farm and socialize with the resident fishermen in order to know more about their life and how they work every day.
09:00 – 11:30: Return to the ship and enjoy the cooking demonstration put on by our talented chef as they give you an insight into Vietnamese cuisine, then sit down for a lovely lunch buffet, on our approach to the harbour.
11:45 – 12:00: Stepping off the V’Spirit Premier Cruise at the harbour, we board the bus and head back to Hanoi.
14:30 – 15:00: Arrive in Hanoi. Trip ends.

Policies
Deposit & Payment:
- A deposit of 30% of the tour price per person by credit card or bank transfer plus bank charges is required upon confirmation of your booking (if this amount is less than US$ 500, the full payment will be applied).
- The balance will be paid 15 days prior to the check in date, or you can pay us upon arrival in cash or credit card when we meet in Hanoi.
- Deposit or full payment could be settled via our secured online payment system (SSL).
Cancellation & Refund:
• Cancellation will be charged as follow:
- From 1-5 cabins:
+ More than 30 days prior to the arrival: No charge.
+ From 30 to 11 days prior to the arrival: 30% of each cancelled cabins charged.
+ From 10 to 4 days prior to the arrival: 50% of each cancelled cabins charged.
+ Less than 3 days prior to the arrival: 100% of the total rate charged.
- No-Show: Will be charged in full.
- From 6 cabins and more:
+ More than 60 days prior to the arrival: No charge.
+ From 60 to 31 days prior to the arrival: 30% of each cancelled cabins charged.
+ From 30 to 11 days prior to the arrival: 50% of each cancelled cabins charged.
+ From 10 to 4 days prior to the arrival: 70% of each cancelled cabins charged.
+ Less than 3 days prior to the arrival: 100% of the total rate charged.
- No-Show: Will be charged in full.
• Cancellation must be sent to and confirmed by Vietnam Travel's cruise specialist in writing (by email or fax).
Child Policy:
- Only one child under 5 years old stays free of charge when using existing bed with two adults.
- Child rate applies from 5-12 years old:
+ Maximum one child below 12 years old is allowed to share existing bedding with adults. Child pays 50% of adult rate per person (double occupancy sharing).
+ Two children below 12 years old stay in a separate cabin. Each child pays 75% of adult rate per person (double occupancy sharing).
Extra Bed Policy:
The surcharge is 80% of one person rate for one extra bed. Limited to one extra bed per cabin only.
Bad Weather Policy:
In the event the cruise is affected by bad weather, the cruise company reserves the right to cancel all or parts of their cruises services. Following charges may be applied:
- Cancellation before 11:00 o'clock at cruise date: Full refund for the cruise package but transportation will be charged (if any).
- Cruise is canceled and guests have meal (lunch) only (no cruise, no overnight, boat stays in the harbor): US$ 35 per person.
- Cruise is canceled and guests have meal (lunch) and round-trip transfer Hanoi - Got Ferry Pier only (no cruise, no overnight, boat stays in the harbor): US$ 35 per person + transportation.
- Day cruise (3-4 hours cruise, no overnight, lunch on boat): US$ 75 per person.
- Day cruise (3-4 hours cruise, no overnight, lunch on boat, round-trip transfer Hanoi - Got Ferry Pier): US$ 75 per person + transportation.
- Only for 3 day/2night cruise program:
+ Complete 2 day/1 night cruise and back to shore before 10.00 A.M of day 2: the cruise rate of 2 day/ 1 night package is charged + transportation (if any).
+ Complete 2 day/ 1 night cruise and use the day boat and back to shore before 17.00 of day 2: 75% of the total price of 3 day/ 2 night cruise package is charged + transportation (if any).
Other Policies:
- Check-in time starts at 12:30 PM. Check-out by 11:00 AM.
- Charges for extra guests may apply and vary according to property policy.
- Advance registration is required with full name, date of birth, nationality, gender, passport number and visa expiry date for all passengers. A valid passport is required upon check-in. Otherwise, boarding may be denied by the port authority.
- A cash deposit, credit card or debit card for incidental charges and government-issued photo identification/ passport are required upon check-in.
- Special requests are subject to availability at the time of check-in. Special requests can't be guaranteed and may incur additional charges.
- Surcharge for Christmas Eve (24 December) and New Year Eve (31 December) & Vietnamese Lunar New Year's Day: US$ 50 per adult and US$ 25 per child.
- Cruise itinerary is subject to change, with or without prior notice, depending upon tide and weather conditions.
- Promotion or Early Bird comes with tight booking conditions and they will be notified separately by Vietnam Travel.
